Worship Confessional 06.28.09
Great day of worship. Our message was focused on faith... not letting fear overcome faith. All of our songs today were faith drivin'
This was get-away-day for me... the start of a month's holiday. I left right after the service. I love leaving right from worship, I'm always riding a high when I hit the road. I need the time away to get some separation and to spiritually be fed and re-focus but it's painful to be leaving my brothers and sisters behind.
We opened with Michael W. Smith's A New Hallelujah - G
Your Grace Is Enough [Maher] - A
You Never Let Go [Redman] -A
Forever [Tomlin] - A... we did a much slower worshipful setting today... it just happened Saturday night and I kept the arrangement for Sunday morning.
Blessed Be Your Name [Redman]- A
Message
Let Your Praises Ring [Brewster] - E
My intent is to continue my worship confessional from where ever it is that I worship over the next few weeks.
Pray on,
Eddy

A bumpy ride today but non-the-less a worshipful one. Too much rain and too many cloudy days in the past few weeks. Everyone seems a bit off their mark. I know the worship leader is!

Worship Confessional 06.14.09

Today was just special... the reason we all feel led to lead. Words won't explain what I'm feeling this afternoon but they might paint an image, an image of the Holy Spirit making itself known to a large group of disciples at one time, in one moment... awesome!!!
It starts off normal, just an average rehearsal nothing special. The warm-up song All To You [Brewster] - E... not quite hooking up... but then the first block of music just keeps growing in praise to worship.
You Are Good [Houghton] - C
The Kingdom of God [Baloche] - G
Hallelujah, Your Love Makes Me Sing [Brown/Doerkson] - G
Statement of Faith
We Need You Lord [ Butler] - G... this was a last minute change that was outstanding today. It led to an unscheduled Alter Call. Sweet! Sweet! Sweet!
Mark 4:26-29 - "Where Are You Going" Dr. J
How Great Is Our God [Tomlin] - C... a song that keeps reinventing itself, I try to never do the same arrangement twice just to keep it fresh.
I have have to thank Valerie for stepping up to video today. It was appreciated.
On a closing note, Mark Ristine, our Youth Director, announced that he would be moving on today. What comes to mind are the words released in order to obey. You were, and will remain, a blessing to me and my ministry. Praise Him for our time together.
Pray on,
Eddy

Worship Confessional 06.07.09

I was pumped after a great coffeehouse performance last night. I was up with the sun and way early for rehearsal which was great considering I was worried about our opening song. I actually prayed last night about changing it... I just didn't feel comfortable with it but I woke up this morning with renewed confidence and I think we nailed it.
Great day on the platform, and for the tech team,,and for that matter the whole worship team. We opened with a new song All To You [Brewster] - E and though I had doubts they were quickly removed with a powerful performance by the band.
Call to Worship
Our God Saves [Baloche] - D ... one of our favorites.
He Reigns [Mullins/Franklin] - Dm ... an oldie we haven't done in months featuring my brother Mark.
Statement of Faith
Doxology [Mann] - G ... this was a setting I wrote a few years ago.
Communion ... The Bread Has Been Broken [Deyo] - G ... I did this with one of our new singers Ariel and it was sweet!
Message - John 3:1-8 ... "The Only Trinity That Matters" ... delivered by Dr. J.
Praise The Father, Praise The Son [Tomlin] - C ... we've done this before but it drew a much larger response today than I was expecting.
Drawing from our message today, "Where have you been? Where are you going? To whom do you belong?"
Pray on,
Eddy
