Worship Recap 04.24.11

Record crowd this morning... quite a buzz in the house. Just a wonderful experience.

I re-worked Christ The Lord Has Risen Today; Alleluia with a new chorus and then medlied this with He's Alive/I Know That My Redeemer Lives as our opening songs and got a great response from the congregation.

We also sang Above All this morning. I've kept this song fresh by only singing it twice a year. It's become an Easter standard for us.

Worship Recap 04.17.11

We had our usual Palm Sunday full house today. Lots of visitors and those we haven't seen in a while.

Recovering from some minor surgery that I had on Friday I was excited if not completely healthy this morning. There's no lying I was drained and needed my team to be prepared and on top of their game. I was really tired by the end of the service but lifted by filled with the spirit.

Worship Recap 04.10.11

As part of a five week series on our 5 Marks of Discipleship, our focus today was on the aspect of worship.

The most difficult choices I had to made this week were deciding which songs not to use.

With two baptisms we had a full house with quite a bit of energy. From my perspective I thought the service had several great worshipful, prayerful and quiet spiritual moments.

Congrats to Jim Goodyear who Sunday afternoon celebrated his Ordination at Gloria Dei Church.

We welcomed a new singer, replaced an unhappy mic, and sang an old favorite. Sweet worship!

After getting a late start to rehearsal the rest of the morning rolled along smoothly.

I love when there's a calm that preceeds worship. A confident feeling that all has been prepared.
