Worship Recap 07.31.11... "We will"

Oh what a happy day that our answer to being compassionate is we will. Whatever the question in need, hunger, clothing, nourishment, shelter... that we'd answer we will help, we will give our gift, we will share our assets.

It was an interesting morning. Rehearsal had a few rough moments with the monitors being less then clear and a vocal arrangement that needed some attention, but as always the service itself moved forward without any problems.

Worship Recap 07.24.11... "Treasure?"

Just a thought that was brought up this morning... if there are so many churches, why are there so many lost souls?

We had a great morning of worship, all the pieces fit together perfectly. Though enduring this current heat wave has become another thorn that's hurt attendance lately.

Our message today was inspired by the treasure parables. It was perfect for me considering I lost a great treasure last evening as a good friend past way.

We ended up with four replacements on our team today due to various reasons. The missing [your gifts are always missed] were not the center of my attention, the able bodies provided by God were. Each week our team looks the way God wants it to look. An important lesson well learned!

Worship Recap 07.10.11... "Lord, Sow Within Us"

I woke up an hour early this morning with the sun shining through my window... my open window. No big deal you say? Well it was the first morning in recent memory where I could say that, so it was a nice way to start the day.

We received a different view of the sower parable, one that focused on the sower instead of the state of the ground. I love how His word can have so many meaningful moments in our lives.

We stumbled through a few songs today... it happens, but our greater focus was not on the arrangements but the worship.

Worship Recap 07.03.11... "Spiritual Freedom"

After a week away I was filled with anticipation and excited to be back this morning. That energy carried over into worship as we experienced a wonderful morning together.

Our message was drawn from Matthew 11:28-30... [Freedom Without Independence]  and our struggle to find spiritual freedom.

We had a more mature and experienced team this morning because our youth were away on a mission trip. That change was evident as we tackled some tougher arrangements while still maintaining a seamless flow in worship.
