Worship Recap 05.29.11 ... "A Legacy of Love"

So what will your legacy be? In a few words how would you like to be remembered? That's the question that was posed to us today.

Our message was inspired by John 14:15-21 The Promise of the Holy Spirit.

Personally encompassing God's love would be the legacy I'd like to have. Speaking, touching and responding with God's love. If that's what comes to people's mind when I'm thought of then I suppose I've done well.

Worship Recap 05.22.11

Our message this week was on the forth of our 6 Marks of Discipleship, serving... serving at and beyond our church. We incorporated a live text-the-pastor section in which the congregation had the opportunity to be directly involved in the conversation. It was really exciting to see the amount of participation.

Once again there were some sweet moments of spiritual singing that were drawn from a very eclectic music plan.

Worship Recap 05.15.11

On a wet and humid May morning there was plenty of engaged energy during our service. Our guest speaker delivered a message on the Good Shepherd and we also received a dozen or so new members.

Even with the congregation's engaged energy there was still a very warm spiritual feel working within the room.

Worship Recap 05.08.11

We lost both of our female soloists within twelve hours of our service this morning. What are the odds?

So after lots of scurrying around at our pre-service rehearsal we shared an energetic and spirit filled time together. Another remninder that God always provides all that we need.

With the voices missing it was the perfect setup for a short and honest invitation to our congregation concerning our ministry. Sometimes I think we forget that being a salt and light person doesn't always require us to leave our own campus. That there are many opportunities to serve throughout the services each weekend.
