Worship Confessional 02.14.10

For the past few months I've felt the Lord directing me toward a place of uneasiness. Leading me to a place that would challenge my team musically and spiritually. I've been praying daily about how to share this message with them. How to challenge them... ask more of them... while still respecting and not taking for granted the gift of time they offer week in and week out.

I've been meeting individually and in small groups with the team and slowly sharing these thoughts with small and sometimes what appears to be no results. So today was that much more special for me when so many of these thoughts and ideas came together. We experienced a wonderful spiritual and musical moment today. One I hope build's excitement and spiritual growth as we journey on together. May we never be too busy to serve Him.

To my team... may God bless you all for bringing your gifts to the platform each week. To my Heavenly Father... go all the praises, what a joy to serve You.

Too Busy?

Worship Confessional 02.07.10

We worshipped amongst the snow this morning but at least this time the storm event was on Friday night and Saturday so there was time to dig out. It was actually a beautiful sunny day. Visiting with us today was Captive Free a traveling youth ministry group. One of their members [Andrew Barber] has been a member of our praise team for the last few years before leaving to do this ministry last August. It was nice to have him back on the platform this morning and exciting to see him grow spiritually with his new group.

After starting with some tempo problems we settled into a nice groove.We opened with a three song medley and then featured our guests before flowing into communion. Remembrance  and Find Me Faithful  were especially spiritual for me today. I Know Who I Am had a different feel without our keyboardist and drummer who were last minute scratches.
