Who's Standing Next To You?

So who's standing next to you? Turn around, take a good long look, and ask yourself are these wise additions to your life, or fools?

I spent quite a bit of time driving over the past two days after collecting an IMEA Award this past weekend. As I was making my way from Tennessee to Florida I kept reflecting on the good, souls who surround me. I'm really blessed to be involved with so many talented and faithful friends and peers.

I've always been someone who wanted to surround himself with as many gifted people as possible, both in my personal and professional life. These individuals push me, inspire me, and pray for me to succeed.

So it was on my heart to express here and now, just how grateful I am to all of you who make up my team. It really is a team, each gift shinning at different times, and all being an important contributor to the end result. I'm a blessed Mann!

Proverbs 13:20 says, "Whoever walks with the wise becomes wise, but the companion of fools will suffer harm." It's your wise creativity, advice, and love that I admire, and greatly value. We've all been brought together by our Heavenly Father, who has time, and time again, proven to be the ultimate guide and companion, so even though this is a worldly award that will pass in time, remember that we'll be receiving our lasting treasures in heaven.

Thanks again for sharing, caring and questioning.

Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another (Proverbs 27:17).

Love you all,
Pray on,
Eddy

Re:Prize Drops September 06, 2016

As the years have rolled by and several albums have gratefully sold out, many folks have requested songs that were no longer available in CD form. And so after much prayer comes the birth of Re:Prize. This collection of re-mastered, and sometimes remixed songs, was created from the most engaging moments of ‘The Twelve’, ‘Something Beautiful & New’ and ‘Who We Are.’

Thank You -
...to my Gracious God, who continues to allow me to live out my passion to create; who lovingly continues to use me in His kingdom; and who continues to pour out His never ending love on me.

...to my wife and daughter who accept my long hours away from them, and who have endured the hardship of hearing new songs grow, along with the sometimes relentless studio re-takes.
Thanks also to each and every person featured on these tracks. You gave up a piece of yourself to the creative process and for that I am forever thankful. I freely confess… “I’m a blessed Mann!"

Hope Love Joy Peace - The Release Party

This past Tuesday I release my 10th album, 'Hope Love Joy Peace,' and on Saturday night we celebrated. What a joy to be packed into a standing room only venue with friends and supporters old and new. I'll never be able to put into words what an honor it is to be used by God in this way, to minister to a small part of His enormous kingdom, what a privilege it is!

The guys in my band (The Combo - Andrew Barber, Mike Fiocca and Mike Lozinski) are wonderfully gifted musicians with compassionate hearts. They're there when we're having a small table-like event and also when we're having a mountain side event like last night. They truly are a priceless blessing to me.

We held the event in Karen's Place nestled into the town of Doylestown, PA. It is easily one of my favorite places to worship, perform or just be in fellowship. Great food and coffees not to mention the the ascetically warm and friendly confines. Then they top it off with a first class sound and light setup. Thank you Don, for supporting my ministry for so many years.

The night was topped off by having five guest performers who all contributed parts to the recording of the project. Kelly Graber, Liz Collins, Mark Morgan, Joe Miralles (filling in for Joey O) and Cristabelle Braden.

A healthy thank you to my daughter and her boyfriend for helping out, and to my wife who creatively is endlessly lending her gifts.

To each and everyone of you who came out it's my prayer that you were blessed, and that this album will help retell the story as we once again recognize (Advent) the season that leads us to celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Pray on,
Eddy

Hope Love Joy Peace - Jesus (The Lord Saves)

Hope Love Joy Peace - Release date: November 17, 2015

This album, inspired through the 2013 season of Advent, was written as I was adjusting to my mother’s recent residential change to heaven. It marked a season of transition, a moment of growth, and the realization of a deeper faith. It speaks to a spirit that began to understand a clearer vision of life, of death, and of eternity. It birthed a renewed period of hope, love, joy and peace that still pervades today.

JESUS (THE LORD SAVES) …inspired by Luke 2:7
© 2013 Eddy Mann

The angel did appear
He spoke the world to hear
The name for which to give His Son
He’ll save us from our sin
The Savior born to
He’ll separate us from ourselves

Jesus, the Lord saves, the splendor of God
Holy! Powerful! The Son of God

Our saving grace was born
Upon that blessed morn
The answer to the world’s prayers
So as we contemplate
O we can celebrate
The saving started at His birth

The angel made it clear
For all the world to hear
The Savior born to us this night

Shed a little light in this place
Shed a little light on this face
Pour a little love on this soul
Turn a little tin heart to gold
In the shadow of Jerusalem

Cast me the ordinary
Shape me to fill the par
Use me to tell your story
Mold me a loving heart

Waiting for the moment to arise
Joy, hope, and peace, in my eyes
Love not withstanding, love divine
Washing over all of mankind

Everything We Do

With hands that are freeing
With eyes that are seeing
With feet that are carrying a heart that's beating
With listening ears
A smile that dries tears
A word of encouragement that calms and removes fears
It's what we were created to do

Oh give us the strength to see it through
Everything we do must be done with love

With hands that are freeing
With eyes that are seeing
With feet that are carrying a heart that's beating
With listening ears
A smile that dries tears
A word of encouragement that calms and removes fears
It's what we were created to do

God give us the strength to be like you
Everything we do must be done with love

People need affirmation
They need caring attention
They need loving affection
So be humble, and gentle, and patient in love

Something Beautiful & New

On Ash Wednesday we remember that God wants to give us "beauty for ashes," life for death, the oil of gladness for sadness (Isaiah 61:3) ~ Leonard Sweet

Father please forgive the mess I've made
Things have gotten out of hand
Hear my honest heart put forth the truth
It's time I took a stand

I know my path's not always straight
I wander on my own
I long to rest upon the word
That always brings me home

Hear my soul cry out to You
Feel my heart reveal its shame
Create in me something beautiful and new
I pray this in Your name

I'm on a journey to understand
My discipleship to You
Grant me wisdom, guide me
To create something beautiful and new

There's a Lot of You in Me

'We must learn to live together as brothers or perish together as fools'
~ Martin Luther King Jr.

I'm different, and I know it
I'm different, and I'm not afraid to show it
I'm different, and you might as well just roll with it
But if you look deep down inside, you gonna see,
There's a lot of you in me

We're too much alike to be the same
We're so insecure we need to blame
We're lost in ourselves, in all our pain
And You'd think by now we'd grown enough to see,
There's a lot of you in me

There's a light that shines in all of us
There's a spirit clanging to make a fuss
There's a reason, a bond, a shared truss
So it should be no surprise when you look and see,
There's a lot of you in me

Love is Splendiferous

When writing for the Dig Love album started I couldn't help but reflect on 1 Corinthians 13. It's always been a favorite of mine and a reliably inspirational piece of scripture. Maybe because if you're a believer or not you can relate to it and hopefully find some comfort or clarity ...and who could ever question whether it's splendiferous.

splendiferous

[splen-dif-er-uh s]
1425-75; late Middle English < Late Latin splendōrifer brightness-bearing (see splendor, -fer, -ous; loss of -or probably by shift of stress, syncope, and dissimilation) + -ous
adjective
1.
splendid; magnificent; fine.
________________________________________________________________

Love is trusting
Love always upholds
Love is loyal
Love never folds

Love is supportive
Love always prevails
Love is hopeful
Love never fails

Love is understanding
Love is generous
Love is always standing by my side
Love is splendiferous

Got love
Everybody needs some
Got love
If not you better make some

Another Trip Around the Sun

Eight thousand, seven hundred, sixty hours
Soldiering on without haste
Moving into the the new with an awareness of the past
And the guilty pleasures of waste

One face to the past, one face to the future
Time doesn't wait to impart
Moving through a door, from one side to the other
Peace lays heavy on my heart

Another trip around the sun and what have I done
Are there lives that are better for knowing me
Another trip around the sun and what have I done
Is the world a better place for us to be

With just one voice, love can be heard
With just one hand, love can felt
With just one smile, love can be seen
With just one heart, change can begin
Dig love

The Wisdom of God ...he chose us in Him out of love

"Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments and how inscrutable his ways!" ~ Romans 11:33 (ESV)

He chose us in Him out of love
Sending us a answer as pure as snow
He made the decision to love us
Before His hands shaped the world we know
The wisdom of God

He chose to come to earth as a baby
Helpless as a child in the night
He knew exactly what it was we needed
A Savior to be the light
The wisdom of God

His thoughts are not our thoughts
They are higher
His ways are not our ways
They are higher
For a child is born to us
A child was given to us
As the heavens are to the earth
He is higher

In this season, seek to do your best
Don’t miss the blessing of the mastermind
In this season, seek to be your best
His wisdom revealed to all mankind
The wisdom of God
