Re:Prize Drops September 06, 2016

As the years have rolled by and several albums have gratefully sold out, many folks have requested songs that were no longer available in CD form. And so after much prayer comes the birth of Re:Prize. This collection of re-mastered, and sometimes remixed songs, was created from the most engaging moments of ‘The Twelve’, ‘Something Beautiful & New’ and ‘Who We Are.’

Who's on Your Mt. Rushmore?

Hi Friends,

I lost a friend this past month. I lost someone who is responsible for shaping much of what I do these days. I lost a mentor, someone who believed in me, someone who took a chance with me, and someone who sensed the spirit that was working through me.

I've come to realize that I've lost a man who belongs on my personal Mt. Rushmore. This realization opened my mind to wander back and to revisit some of the key moments in my life and to evaluate their importance in shaping the man I've become.

My question to you is who's on your Mt Rushmore? Who are the four people who have shaped your life? Who are the four who have in some way made or left their mark on who you are at this moment?

Afterwards take the time to prayerfully raise their names to our maker, who no doubt had a hand in weaving them into your life.

Our Part

I find myself writing this in the midst of troubling times. I suppose there has always been some degree of turmoil throughout history, but with today's technological advances we are constantly made aware of every blemish the world reveals. It's that continuous bombardment of negative information that can create a numbness to set in. When we fail to respond, we wander from our path. Our faith calls us to sometimes speak out. I'd like to encourage all of us to play our part in this story. God speaks through the parable of our lives. In 2 Timothy 4, Paul tells us to be sober-minded; to endure the suffering, and to fulfill our ministry. I've been, and will continue to be, praying for all of us to be aware of, and confident, to play our part.

Get Close!

Hi Friends,

I'm writing this on the first day of summer and I've been overwhelmed with the weather we've had the past few weeks. The cool nights are a thing of beauty. They bring back so many youthful memories. Even the sun has dominated most our days filling them with a soft dry breeze that always inspires.

Psalm 74:17 reminds us who is responsible for the cool nights and gentle summer breezes. It's God who desires to have those early evening conversations with us; to peacefully share times of fellowship and prayer; to join us in the awe of a beautiful sunset.

I'm scheduling more time with Him this summer, I encourage you to do the same. Share a moment, be in conversation, get close!

July Notebook

One of the joys of any creative is having others inspired or touched by their work. So I'm humbly excited to announce that three albums (hard copies) sold out in the month of June. The result will be a compilation of the most engaging songs from those albums on a new project called Re:Prize. The album will be released in September. You can hear a new remixed and remastered version of Something Beautiful & New on the website ...click here

Last month also marked the beginning of a new relationship with MTS Management. I'm very excited to be part of their creative family and look forward to their friendship and partnership as we journey on.

No Depression, the Journal of Roots Music, published a great interview back on June 16. Their support has been greatly appreciated. Check it out here!.

I'm also looking forward to doing a live in studio segment on ABC's Good Day PA on Friday, June 1 at 12:30pm.

The unexpected September release of Re:Prize has shifted a few things. The Consequence being one, has now been rescheduled and has a new drop date of November 8, 2016. In the meantime, take a listen to Evanesce and let me know what you think.
