Being brought up in the church, the hymns have always had a place in my heart. They’re a part of the spiritual fabric of my faith.  So this collection is near and dear to me… a thread to my past, and certainly to my future.

Being brought up in the church, the hymns have always had a place in my heart. They’re a part of the spiritual fabric of my faith.  So this collection is near and dear to me… a thread to my past, and certain to color my future.

My congregation has experienced a growth in all areas over the past fifteen years, and so it was for the older generation who had grown up with, and the younger generation who were being introduced to for the first time, that I started to re-imagine these hymns.

The grateful words of those who are being fed again, and for the first time, with these re-imagined hymns have inspired me to continue in this practice of praying over and re-writing.

These tracks were recorded in a very live environment, …in a sense looking for the human spirit in each take rather then perfection. In other words, allowing some of the brokenness to be heard.
