There was a time when it was just me, my guitar, paper and a pencil...
I've recently been wasting time repairing, regenerating or renewing a facebook collapse of sorts. Whatever you want to call it, regardless of how or why it happened, it was an enormous expense of creative energy repeating what I had previously done.
We live in an ever changing, ever evolving, reinvented world. It seems we never can catch-up to all the changes. If you're like me, I feel like I'm always in a state of chasing the rabbit, or sometimes my own tail.
I can't imagine the amount of time I've spent away from my crayon box. The notes I might have heard, the words I might have written, or the beauty I might have envisioned.
Of course I could choose to live a life of simplicity. I certainly have been walking that path more frequently in the past few months. Maybe that would explain the rather prolific season I've been experiencing lately. But that also requires us to distance ourselves from some of the technology.
So I suppose the battle for balance will continue. The race to stay on top of things will only gather speed, and the redundancy caused by mankind's careless mistakes and need for quick fixes will only fuel those who attack in the darkness.
With all that being said, the path we follow will become ever more important. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take... Proverbs 3:6 (NIV).
I love that I have such a powerful platform to inspire me. All the creatives sharing online only cause to stir up my own imaginative juices.
I guess what I long for is the wisdom and strength to step away when I need to... and of course the blessing of being hacker free.
Simple right?
