Is God At Your Rehearsal?

Have you ever lost sight of God during rehearsals? Have you ever forgot to invite Him? Have you ever invited Him and then not given Him a spot to shine?

As I introduced a new song this past weekend I mentioned to our congregation that I thought God had really been smiling at rehearsal earlier that morning. There had been so many good spiritual vibes during our time together that I couldn't wait to share the blessing with them.

God wants to be with us in our time of preparing. But like our prayer time, we need to invite Him, to allow a place for Him, and to listen for His input. The ultimate Creator and Arranger wants to collaborate with us. All we need to do is make sure He's invited.

A few things you can out on;  He won't be late (in fact he'll confirm immediately), He'll definitely be prepared, and best of all He'll be an avid listener. It's also been my experience that He never overplays.

Sunday Setlist 05.06.12

Though not a traditional sermon series, we've spent the last three weeks speaking about the Holy Spirit. This has allowed us to rotate a few thematic songs and the results have been wonderful. The congregation has really grown comfortable singing them and have become even more vibrant in their worship.
