Whatever it is that you do, you've probably wondered or maybe even dreamed of doing it on a larger scale. You know what I'm saying, the big time. The person that everyone knows. The one who makes all the money. The one who's life seems so perfect.
There's something inside of all of us that always wants more then what we have. More money, more popularity, more recognition, more responsibility, more, more, more.
Sometimes that drive or urge can cause us to underestimate or devalue the work that we're currently blessed to undertake. Which starts the snowballing effect of not recognizing those who we've blessed or served where we're presently stationed.
And now that we've blinded ourselves and aren't seeing things clearly, we can start to get down and even depressed about not achieving what we set out or hoped to do.
So let me pose this question to you... what if our ideas about who we are, or better said, what we should be accomplishing don't match up with God's?
What if God's plan is less visible, not in the public eye, provides less income, or in general is just not important to us?
We touch those around us wherever we are. We have the opportunity to make a difference to every person we come in contact with by what we say and do.
Now if we're following God's path for us, then we're right where he wants us to be, right where he wants us to grow and right where he wants us to disciple.
So let's all take a big breath, a good look at our life, and thank God for the opportunities he's presented us.
The big time is wherever you are!
Pray on,
Eddy
