Does it seem redundant for the news to report continually about those with so much who have so little?
I'm talking about the endless list of newsmakers who have achieved stardom in their chosen field and have become stardumb in their personal life.
Whenever our value system becomes askewed we seem to plummet into a Mayor of Simpleton mindset. Some say it's was an age thing. You know, blame it on youth because the front of the brain isn't fully developed yet... no it's more than that. Age has no baring on becoming stardumb.
We have been warned about the dangers of this world's values. To bad each dollar bill, each good review, and each adoring fan doesn't come with a warning reminding us of how shallow and short-sighted these rewards are.
The bright lights of this world will never compare to the Light of the World (John 8:12).
Our lights of stardom will always be dull in comparison to our light to the world (Matt 5:14).
Pray on,
Eddy
