Resolutions? I don't think so.
I subscribed to a Creative Calendar idea a few years ago and have found it to be a very productive practice. During that time I've produced quite a bit more than I ever did before. I've also discovered that to be successful, I had to have achievable goals ...challenging, but achievable no less. Each goal met, inspires the next.
Resolutions? No thanks.
Because I'm constantly aware of where I need to be in the creative process, I tend to do a better job staying on task. The ability to see projects from a distance has really helped me to stay focused and disciplined. I've also found that the more I create, the more creative I am.
Resolutions? Not for me.
I do make adjustments at times, because over the course of a year there are moments that occur that weren't planned for, that weren't expected. So in planning my creative path I always leave room for some stretching and re-imagining. Sort of correcting my perception when my Spiritvision isn't clear.
Resolutions? Nope!
Through prayer and silence, I want to put to paper a Spirit led calendar of events. In essence I'm not writing out what I want to get accomplished, but what I expect God to do with my life throughout the next year. Why? Because nothing is possible without His blessing.
Pray on,
Eddy
