Gideon's Concert in the Park
Pittsburgh, PA
with Chris Connelly and Chris Staunton
Going back to the summer of 2001, I was in the midst of sharing with a great trio. I walked with two wonderfully creative and spiritual men who were very instrumental on my faith journey. Chris Connelly played bass and acoustic guitar while Chris Staunton played an array of percussion and stringed instruments. Both contributed vocally and in ways which I can't put into words.
In June we spent some time in Pittsburg, PA for an outdoor event. The local church put us and our families up for the weekend and took us in as the disciples we were. The memory of that weekend and the folks that opened their hearts and homes remains all these years later.
It is God's way to shape us by our experiences and acquaintances. As you walk through each moment, make a note of the names, faces, smiles, voices and such that are a part of the composition we call another day.
Our Creator is at work, he's moving pieces and connecting dots we don't even know are there.
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. (Jeremiah 29:11 NIV)
Hey, let's pay attention!
Pray on,
