TBT: Waiting on God

I published this photo as a journal entry back in February of 2011, but the image still generates the same warmth today as it did then. I shared that I was blessed to lead worship each and every Saturday night in this old stone chapel that had such a beautiful spiritual quality.

This week as I journey into the unknown (more to come), it's a great reminder that my walk is, and will never be alone.

O Lord you have searched me and know me! You know when I sit down and when I rise up; you discern my thoughts from afar. You search out my path and my lying down and are aquatinted with all my ways. Even before a word is on my tongue, behold, O Lord, you know it altogether. You hem me in, behind and before, and lay your hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high;  I cannot attain it. (Psalm 139:1-6 ESV)

There's a confidence that all is well even though my visibility is limited. I suppose it truly is a walk of faith not sight (2 Corinthians 5:7).
Faith starts with trust.
It's also been very comforting to look back at how we got to this point, and how things were being worked out in the background that were unknown to us. Faith starts with trust. Trust in the One who cares so much for us, whose plans are for us to prosper, who loves us!

So we smile, waiting on God, listening, watching, and trusting, as we rest in His hands.

Pray on,
Eddy
