Back a few years ago my attention turned to the hanging light fixture over the kitchen table. It might have been something I ate or just a bored creative mind at work. But here is the result many years later. I journaled this back in June of 2011 and so it re-appears today.
It was a comment from someone else that referred to it being a bit like a kaleidoscope. And as I came upon it by chance today I saw a picture of our ever changing lives. The lives that are being shaped by His ever loving and patient hands...
"But now, O Lord, You are our Father, we are the clay and You our potter; and all of us are the work of your hand." (Isaiah 64:8 ESV)
...the colors that others see in us as we grow in spirit. The crimson when we sacrifice and serve others; the orange as we comfort and teach, and the green as we grow in our faith. There's a rainbow of colors in our offerings.
The shifting patterns and scenes are just postcards on our journey. The lives we live, the people we touch, the places we inhabit all are a part of our divine story.
We are but a kaleidoscope of emotions reflecting our Makers hands.
Pray on,
