It's affirmation weekend for our church. A weekend of services that recognizes the youth of our congregation as they mark their faith journey.
It's also a time when I think of my own journey as I continue to grow closer to God. I never want to lose sight of the blessings in my life.
This Sunday's plan was realized quite early in the week. I love when that happens. I wanted to focus on God's faithfulness. How regardless of our of situations, His understanding voice can always be heard., and His unconditional love can always be felt.
I think my favorite song from this week's plan is Tommy Walker's What A Good God. Just a wonderful melody with an even better lyric.
I'm also looking forward to once again arranging for the extended acoustic instruments. They really helped to set a different tone last week.
