I just noticed a beam of sunlight striking a small portion of my studio. It was no more the size of a softball, but it dazzled my eyes. I see that patch-bay everyday, but that light made it stand out, made it draw my attention to it... it made it noticeable.
Photographers know when the light is just right, they see things for their momentary beauty and mystery.
It made me think about the light of God. That when it shines on us that's what we can look like to the world.
When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life." John 8:12 (NIV)
How amazing that little beam of light can be, how powerfully it can draw your attention, how noticeable it can make things.
What a blessing it is in the world when we can be that light, when we can draw attention to God through our actions and attitudes and be the light that shines a path to a Peaceable Kingdom.
Pray on,
Eddy
